The SEN department of a London Local Authority required someone immediately to take over a large caseload, as the backlog of work was increasing, and their internal efforts to restructure had been unsuccessful
We used our nationwide reach to source a shortlist of very capable SEN officers. From this shortlist, the authority interviewed a candidate who met and exceeded all expectations of the job description. This candidate was not local, but was willing to relocate during the week in rented property.
The candidate was booked to the authority for a 4-month placement. Within those 4 months, the SEN officer was able to significantly reduce the backlog of Education, Health and Care plans, meaning the authority is closer to completing the work within the Department for Education timeframe.
