Ofsted has announced that it will no longer be grading teachers for their performance in the classroom, and that it will instead be switching to a more subjective method, in which teachers will receive feedback on what is going well and what needs improvement. (more…)

Teachers’ union warns of strike during the election year

The NASUWT teachers’ union has announced at its annual conference that it would be willing to take strike action during the run up to next year’s general election to defend the interests of the teaching profession.

Disputed English GCSE exams not to be re-marked
